750 ml poured into a snifter glass. Pour is copper in color with some chill haze and shows a light cap of off white foam. Very little pop in carbonation when pulling the cork on this bottle. Spruce notes on the nose and an initial sweet flavor that settles out with some warming and becomes more balanced with a spicy character. Spruce yields a nice mouthfeel on the finish without being overly bitter in nature. Overall a very robust pale ale that comes across as lighter in body than the ABV might suggest. Would likely benefit from more carbonation but not sure if this bottle is indicative of brewer intent.

Pours hazy amber with white color light head from 1 pint 9.4 oz tall corked beer club bottle to tulip glass. This “pale ale” with spruce tips and citrus bursting notes caught me by off guard with its sour taste. Citrus sour and spiced notes at 7.8% ABV and 19 IBU. Taste grew on me as it warmed.
