On tap at the brewery, Vista, CA.
Chocolate-ruby with sheets of tan. 4
Sticky floral nose. 3.75
Birch beer, pine sap, greenery, and some orange rind. 3.75
Coffee-ish end and mulchy linger.
Medium, sticky, no snap. 3.5
Too sweet, needs more aroma, not hoppy enough overall, and cloys. The black doesn’t have roasty bite and the hops are vegetal rather than bright. There are way better Black IPAs (and breweries.) 3.5
