True to the promise of a golden ale, this pours a clear gold in color with a finger or so of fluffy white head. There is good retention, breaking into a whirl of fine foam and leaving good lacing.
The smell is sweet malts and there is a touch of what I would call candi sugar there too. A faint fruity hops comes in on the back end, but it is the malts that star.
Taste is also led by the sweet malts. There are also some bready aspects there too. Like on the nose, the hops are faint.
Feel is medium weight with good prickly carbonation. Finish is on the dry end, quite surprising for this sweetish beer.
A good blonde ale with a bit of a Belgian twist. Worth a shot if you have the chance.

Clear yellow color with plenty of foam in the glass. Spritzy and mellow on the tongue. Sweet bread and touch of pear, like a Saison, but the finish is the usual grainy light ale taste. There's just a touch of bitterness, almost a metallic note, but makes for a nice finish.
Aromatic with malty, Cream of Wheat, and a hint of fresh corn. Fairly rich for a light-weight beer, and nicely flavored. A better than average Blonde. From the 12 oz can purchased at Barons Market.
