22 oz. bottle that I believe accompanied me back from an October work trip, Odd, Abraham Lincoln sword fight on the label…split with my wife.
The pour is dark brown with red paint along the edges. Touchy carbonation makes the pour a delicate proposition without blowing over the edge of the glass. The nose brings the bottom of my toaster, light rye, herbal tea. I’m not sure what to do with that.
The Pasha’s Rye Brown could probably be reviewed in two words - rye, brown. Perhaps with a modifier in front of the word ‘rye’ (like, “a shit-load of rye”), as in enough spicy rye to rye-burn the roof of my mouth. In a good way, of course. The brown is really just a base for the rye: spiced, Narsil sharp, lightly toasted, bitingly bitter. Nice & full for a brown & easy enough to drink that it justifies the bigger bottle.
There’s enough rye in this bottle to cause my neighbor to become gluten sensitive. The rye takes a pretty staid style & kicks it in the Arsch. Very good.

Appearance: Coca-Cola brown with a tan and cloudy fluffy head. Decent lacing.
Nose: Light toffee, coffee, and raisin.
Taste: Crisp and dry at first. SOme butterscotch and crackers. Some alcohol hotness in the middle.
Notes: Not very interesting. Perhaps it's good for the style, however.

Lovely clouds of foam in the tall Peroni glass, piled up on the auburn brew. Sprightly on the tongue. Not much aroma except some beery malt.
Malt and nicely roasted barley are enlivened by the grainy rye. It has kind of a vegetal bitterness like arugula, plus a hoppy zing. Some caramel and sweetness with a long, resiny bitterness that stops short of iritation.
Now this is progress: take a debased beer style and jack it up with rye-- a solution looking for a problem. Very drinkable and thirst quenching with that interesting bitter and tangy bite, along with the mellow malt. From the 22 oz bottle bought at Bottlecraft on India Street.

The pour is brownish in color with a finger of khaki colored head. Definite rye smell, almost like pumperknickel. Quite a bit of roast and toasted malt. A citrus hop aroma and a touch of spice. Flavor is a little bitter without much in the way of hop flavor. Some citrus, earth, and spice notes and lots of rye malt, light roast, and toasted malt. Kind of just run of the mill flavors.

Pours a clear brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. A foamy curtain of lace coats the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, rye, herbal hops, and some nutty aromas. Taste is much the same with a medium amount of hop bitterness on the palate after each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is drinkable but smells better than it tastes in my opinion.
