A: Dark brown with a crimson tinge and a mountain of craggy tan foam. Excellent retention. Thick sheets of froth are left on the glass.
S: Earthy, bready, and lightly spicy with a firm rye presence. The rosemary adds rustic, woodsy, and perfumy notes that blend nicely with the rye. Caramel is a spectre in the distance. There's a little citrus beneath the malt and rosemary, as well as herbal characteristics. Dark fruit is faint. Unique and very cool.
T: Big rosemary notes in the flavor with lightly spicy rye. Pumpernickel bread in a glass with herbal, earthy, and grapefruit hop notes. There's a lower moderate bitterness with a light sweetness. The finish is dry, bitter, and lightly spicy with a blend of bread and rosemary.
M: Medium body with upper medium carbonation. The mouthfeel is smooth, creamy, and sticky.
Overall: This is really interesting and definitely worth trying. The rosemary works well with the rye.
