A: Reddish dark brown and slightly murky with a small beige head.
S: I'm not sure what peppers were used, but they're pretty strong. Chili pepper, vanilla, and rich cocoa combine to create an awesome aroma. There's a decided cinnamon note in there that's not evident in regular Vanilla's Porter. Lots of cocoa with light caramel notes and a touch of earthiness.
T: Big pepper kick up front that quickly overwhelms the palate. It's damn spicy, but chocolate steps in midpalate to smooth things over. Vanilla is light and that cinnamon I got in the nose is present in the flavor. The finish marks an increase in cocoa with a firm chili peppery spiciness that burns a bit.
M: Medium body with upper low carbonation. The mouthfeel is silky and sticky.
Overall: Really nice aroma and flavor, but it's definitely spicy.
