Pours a hazy orange color. A moderate sized frothy head retains well and yields lacing.
The aroma is pleasant with notes of fruit and semi pungent notes of herbal dank. Aromas, typical for an IPA, include orange, grapefruit, lime, peach, pineapple, grass and cannabis.
For a so called session IPA, I’m impressed by the soft but firm malt backbone. Unlike other sessions that feel like hops water, this one has a doughy and biscuity malt base that provides sweetness and supports the hops flavors. The hops flavors range from grapefruit, orange, peach, grass and pine. An easy going bitterness balanced things. The finish is dry with bright notes of citrus and some bitterness.
Medium to light bodied and very easy to drink. The mouthfeel is smooth and juicy, yet, there is some dryness to it. The carbonation is moderate to gentle.
Easy going and crushable all around. This is one of the better session type IPAs I’ve had in a while.
