Thanks to Emperor Bevis for this. Nice to share quality.
Brown black to look at with a bright orangy rising horizon at the bottom of the glass. On the top there's a good bright light one and a half inch tan head creating a nice contrast.
In the mouth there is enveloping roastines, an enveloping restrained dark chocolateness and a fairly soothing mouthfeel. Full flavour but with a gradually building natural verve. Soft and firm, some silk and some more roast and a tad of sourness followed by some more intense roast right at the end.
Pretty fine really.

A rich dark brown near black body with a tanned thick head.
Gorgeous smoky aroma with freshly ground coffee and molasses and cocoa.
Real smack of liquorice right in there with the taste with treacle whilst amazingly avoiding sickliness due to a buttery expresso kiss with hops mash twisting it through out.
Fantastic mouthfeel and ideal carbonation makes this happiness in a bottle,
is there a cask version because the bottle conditioned beer guides me to the fact it must be near perfection.
