On tap at GABS festival in Melbourne, May 2014.
Pours a brown colour, quite cloudy with nice beige head. Head has an odd green tinge to it, but apart from that it looks nice.
Smells like a brown ale. Touch of sweet coffee to it with mild roast, some sweet spice - cinnamon and coriander edge. Not a lot of sesame, but a decent brown ale aroma.
Taste is a bit weak. Mild coffee that doesn't quite fill the palate so ends up a tad sour. Slight herbal and roasty notes towards the back and a slight sweetness overall from the malt. Really not getting much sesame at all, and overall just tastes a little weak.
The carbonation is detectable through the body, which adds a welcome bit of texture.
Not a lot of sesame on this beer; tastes like a fairly weak brown ale and it's a shame. Disappointing follow-up from the Two Birds after last year's sensational Taco.
