Pours a clear amber colour. Smells earthy, with sweet, burnt sugar, and toasty malts. Tastes malty and sweet throughout with a hint of a dry finish. Caramel malts, strong toasty grain, and kinda lager-y and bitter. This bottle was consumed a little past date so the hop flavours have dropped out a bit. Tastes like a nice amber ale.

I bought a bottle of the Thunder Bird from Bootleggers in Sandton. It poured a rich copper clear with white head that is leaving a lace. The scent is malty for an IPA with some floral tones. The taste is sweet malt leaning...not much bitterness than I can sense. The mouthfeel is medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it is ok....not for hop heads.
