Appearance: Clear, golden-amber body topped by a good sized off white head that displays good retention, but doesn't leave much lace.
Smell: Hmmm, this doesn't smell too bad. Sweet, honey like malt dominates, with lightly floral English hops in the background. Warming yields some caramel, an earthy quality and a hint of fruit.
Taste: Not the biggest flavour in the world, but clean, refreshing and acceptable for the style. Honey, light toasted malt, light fruity notes, a fair dose of floral/grassy hops and a light bitterness are also present.
Mouthfeel: Just fuller than light bodied with a moderate level of carbonation. Very pleasant for the style; refreshing and drinkable.
Overall: A pleasant pale ale with more malt character than most. I will buy this again in the future if the price is reasonable.
