Sunday evening: 22 Apr 2012. 500ml brown bottle out of date by a year: Poured into a vase shaped 'Old Speckled Hen' badged glass (at home).
Pale golden body almost lager clear: on top a full and deep white crown of foam.
Boadicea and Pilot hops give the aroma a mild peppery feel that just over-shaddows the malted barley and wheat smells.
The taste is a refreshingly pleasant blend of the above ingrediants: this is a well balanced brew that I really enjoyed.
Full bodied for an English Pale Ale, a tasty beer that went very nicely with my mini Pork Pie.
