a simple and delicious beer, clean and bright, better than almost anything else i had in here when i visited. i know the brewery has recently changed ownership and location and everything, and this newer offering was one of the best, so hopefully things are trending up here in terms of quality. this is blonde and almost clear from the tap with an average white head on it and some sudsy lace clinging to the edges of the pint as it drinks. the citra hops are really obvious in the nose and taste, as they should be in a beer like this. lemon and lemongrass notes, a light ester of pear as well, green but clean, slightly oily and not bitter at all. the grain is real basic too, but sometimes less can be more, and in an effort to showcase the citra hops, i think the light and dry cereal complexion here is really all we need, more would be too much, and its not without a little bit of body. i like that this is fermented down to dry, that the yeast is flavorless (which wasnt true with many of their other beers where i thought it should have been), and i like the overall light and summery essence it has. fresh and good, basic but well executed, ahead of its peers in here, i hope they keep this one going.
