Just grabbed a second growler of this from 99 bottles. Feel this one needs a review this time!
A - Pours an opaque brown/black, with a nice two-finger tan head. Slow receding leads to excellent, creamy lacing.
S - Smell is of roasted espresso, with hints of toffee, and mocha-like chocolate. Not much in the way of floral/hop notes, just prevalent coffee-derived scents!
T - Taste starts with dark coffee flavors, and moves into balancing sweetness from chocolate brownie and toffee notes. Finishes without any cloying sweetness or hop-derived bite. Very balanced and good!
M - Body is somewhere between medium and full. Carbonation is rather mild, and this beer goes down slick and smoothly.
O - Overall, a great, and sessionable coffee porter from DUO! Hopefully these guys continue to grow, and their beer becomes more accessible in the future!

A: Poured a deep brownish color with a medium dirty white cap but the head fades leaving minimal lacing and bubbles
S: Nice rich Folgers style coffee here, some chocolate, roasted notes
T: Immediate big, rich coffee flavor. The backbone is is a nice roasted malt with chcolate which is really subdued by the coffee, not bad, it is a coffee porter ya know.
M: Medium to big big body, sordove creamy at times, dry, low heat and tasty
O: Well played and I would order again and recommend. Out of the new breweries in the 253 DUO is head and shoulders above the rest.
