Pouring a very dark almost black with deep ruby highlights and a moderate tan-colored head. On the nose you’ll encounter toasted malts, dark chocolate, cocoa and coffee, with hints of floral hops, and an earthy nuttiness. On the palate you’ll meet notes of bakers and dark chocolates and caramel balanced by a slight grassy hop throughout, finishing with a mild coffee like bitterness. Light to medium bodied with gentle carbonation. There’s a very smooth mouthfeel with a rich and round malt forward flavor. The finish is lightly dry while slightly coating. Best to enjoyed after warming somewhat to experience the full depth of flavours. 22 IBU
