Brown, with ruby and deep red edges. One finger of head, beige, quite beautiful, even if quickly falling down.
The smell is not particulary interesting. Some maltiness, a bit of roast. And caramel. But rather bland.
In the taste, malty, some light burnt. But also herbal notes, probably from the hop. Some caramel.
More interesting than the smell.
Quite full body. Not too much, but right.
Light roast, roots, burrnt in the aftertaste. Light liquorice, maybe plums.
A light carbonation make it lighter. Not a bad doppelbock.
