Kodiaks is tucked into a corner of a mini-mall right off of Rt 110 so you can easily miss it if you need to pay attention to traffic. The establishment is large and has a general upscale sports bar type theme as they have TVs all over the place. The outer ring has the high bar type seating tables as well as two actual bar areas. The lower level has more of the traditional table seating. It is quite loud in there and it appears that they have bands/djs that play later at night.
The selection of beers is pretty impressive. The menu breaks it out nicely into style categories. Good selection of American craft brews as well as some Belgians. The draft selection is not nearly as large as the bottle but again it has some nice quality brews.
The wait staff was friendly and asked if I needed any assistance with the beer menu. Not sure if they have any specialty glasses as I had a porter and APA that I would expect to be served out of a shaker pint.
The buffalo wings were good but the fajitas and SA pub chicken were ok. Prices seemed reasonable.
I definitely recommend this place. It is a bit loud and big to be a true "beer bar" but the selection is one of the best that I have seen on Long Island.

Sports bar atmosphere - loud, and at least a dozen big screens. The place is pretty large, having previously been a nightclub with dance floor. Classic, dark wood decor.Large central bar.
Menu is varied American fare. My favorites are the buffalo wings, and house made potato chips.
There is an excellent choice in beers; concentrating on craft beers, the list seems to change weekly.
Service is extremely good, fast and friendly!
I suggest you visit the web site to see the menu and choices of beautiful beers available at this venue!
