Yellow, hazy beer with a foamy, white head that leaves lacing on the glass.
Grain, malt and floral hops in the nose. Also some fruity and earthy notes, orange, grass and citrus.
Taste: Caramel malt, grainy malt and some hops.
Medium to light body. Tiny bubbles in the carbonation. Medium bitterness. Little dry at the end.

Hartmann-Bräu "Hartmanns Sommer Zwickel"
,5L brown glass bottle, "Mindestens haltbar bis: 17.02.18 S" and sampled on 21.09.17
8,50€/sixpack at the Brauerei Gasthof
Hartmann's Sommer Zwickel pours a hazy golden body beneath a finger-thick head of pillowy white that unfortunately drops all to quickly and leaves only average lacing behind. The aroma mainly expresses grainy malt although there are some floral and lightly herbal hops there. Those hops are then much fuller in the flavor with additional spiciness, and some fruitiness that may or may not be from hops. They're not bold by any means, but their is an additional layer to what is otherwise a basic Munich-style helles. It's medium bodied and crisp, but then softer and smoother once warmed in the mouth. A firm bitterness balances it and it finishes dry with a light dollop of grainy malt and plenty of herbal hops lingering.
