Cloudy, yellow beer. A white two finger high head.
Nose: Wheat, banana, grass and pears.
Taste: Wheat malt, caramel malt, yeast, banana and citrus.
Mouth: Medium body. Smooth carbonation.
This is a beer that's really easy to drink! It's good and refreshing but not that interesting.

Hartmann-Bräu "Hartmann Felsen Weisse"
,5L brown glass bottle, "Mindestens haltbar bis: DEZ 17 A10 09:27 GT2" and sampled on 23.09.17
8,50€/sixpack at the Brauerei Gasthof
Look: Cloudy golden body beneath a head of fluffy bright white foam. Head retention and lacing are limited for the style.
Smell: Wheat malt with a light touch of banana-like phenols and some apple-like esters.
Taste: As the aroma suggests with stronger banana, sweetish malt, clove, a bit of hoppy spiciness, and a light edge of tartness that helps to balance it alongside its moderate bitterness. In so many ways it's just a typical Bavarian hefeweizen, but at the same time it's a really nicely balanced version.
Feel: Medium in body and crisp; then airy in the mouth as it warms.
Overall: With the exception of its limited head retention and lacing it's an excellent example of a Bavarian hefeweizen.

Large and thick head on a slightly hazy yellow color body. The smell is fresh and citric, showing only light notes of wheat, and no real yeasty character. The taste definitely shows the style's features: wheat and a yeasty banana flavor. Again, the citric aspect is overpronounced imho, as if they had added a few lemons in the brew kettle. Enjoyably peachy and slightly juicy and dry when I poured the yeast from the bottom of the bottle. Mouthfeel is basic, with a nice carbonation. Drinkable but not overly interesting.
