First had: from a firkin at Brauhaus Schmitz, Philly, PA
Meh, a bit disappointing. Many others of the style are better, quite frankly. Poured hazy copper with a small, dissipating white head. Malty, earthy aroma. Light caramel malts in the taste, with an earthy quality, yet somewhat thin and mediciney. Some bitterness, but barely any hops noticeable, as is typical with the style. Light mouthfeel generally, and fairly drinkable, but again, a bit disappointing for a rare brew.
