August 12th, 2016 - The brewmaster wasn't exaggerating when they named this beer Ruby Red. The beautiful amber color resembles a forest fire sunset, and the alpine head pushes the contrast even further. The color is eye catching, but it's harder to get a feel for the nose, even with a full pint shaker glass. The body is substantial and offers some chew, but the flavor is a little bland, reserving itself for a short burst of caramel in the aftertaste.
