07/27/2011 On tap. At Rattle N Hum, NYC. A touch grassy and a touch of citrus. All in all a good beer.

09/08/2011 On tap at Rattle n Hun, NYC I ike this a lot. Good body and full flavor. Good for summer's end.

They say it's "Named after the famed Woodlawn section of the Bronx Woodlawn Weiss is a traditional German Weissbier brewed with Bavarian Yeast. Pour it and see the wheat cloudiness, smell the spices and estery aroma."

Looks like it's gone by the wayside. Too bad. Nice look into the past.

Had a twelve ounce of this at the Amsterdam Ale House on Manhattan's Upper West Side. Not a bad Hefeweizen, a style I don't always lover but enjoyed that day.

Very cloudy on the pour. LIght orange with a lot of carbonation and a very active and fluffy head.

Aroma was quite citrus, lemons, oranges and yeast aromas jump from the glass.

Flavor is similar to the aroma and also not bad. Good and refreshing as well as well balanced.

Overall a good beer that I would recommend.

Growler filled at the Green Growler Grocery in Croton-on Hudson, NY

Pours cloudy lemony, dull golden. Fluffy head to start, that quickly goes bye bye, leaving just a speck or two of lace, no film nor collar.

Tropical fruit in the nose.

Bright lemon dominates the palate, and I mean doninates...gotta be the most lemon infused flavor palate of most any beer out there, which I cant say I am loving.

Feels fairly flat and a bit "mushy" with lower carbonation, not going to style here.

Not the most impressive example of the style, and the lemon really needs to be toned down a notch or two.
