poured from a 1-liter growler, filled same day, into a pint glass
a: pours a deep chocolate brown with a slight amber tinge. two-finger tan head, slowly dissipates. some lacing.
s: a general smokiness is most apparent, some biscuity malts, but not too much malt sweetness.
t: nice and chewy, almost a stout-like body. smokiness is very apparent, though nothing close to a rauchbier, some grassy hops bitterness in the middle, and the finish is fairly bitter and dry.
o: very nice. huge amount of flavor for 4.7%, for me, almost going into porter/stout territory with its depth and roasted malt flavors.
