swing by the tasting room to grab the new glass and swag and saw this up, had to try.
a - brew pours a semi transparent mahogany with a thin foamy head that didn't hang long but left nice streaky lace. definitely had that American dubbel look instead of traditional belgian with the creaminess that I live for the style.
s - nose has soft grape notes with some nuttiness. toasted malt.
t/m/o - taste follows the nose with soft grapes and toasted malts. little thin on the body. better than a lot of the american dubbels but not in the same league as the classics from belgium. watery but easy to drink. the flavor is really nice...almost tows the line of a brown ale with a bit if grape to it. another good brew from spider bite
