Bottle from release back in November. Enjoyed side-by-side with a 2015 Boris the Spider bottle. I've long loved Boris and found it to be one of, if not the best produced stout on Long Island. This brew is aged in smooth ambler barrels I believe (but don't quote me on that) and the result is nothing short of phenomenal. Everything I love about Boris is turned up to 11 on this brew. The mouth is thick rich and chewy while still remaining silky and dangerously drinkable. The brew opens up in a big way as it warms and the bourbon is that rich hdecadent chocolate glazed on in three layers...this brew makes 5050 eclipses run away in terror. LEGIT! heavy wood, lots of personality, but its all good. SUPER sleeper. probably the highlight of everything I've ever tried from spider bite and I'm a big fan of Larry's beer. This is VERY much worth hunting down, but good luck...I think most of the bottles went to the local grassroots following who probably don't trade or read reviews or even know that people talk about beer on the internet. After all, the beer came out about 6 months ago and it wasn't even on this site til I posted this review. Long Island's best kept secret.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
