One of the Local to Locals releases here on Long Island, but numbered oddly because this is the 7th release... Whatever... Seems to have been an 11/6/18 release based on when it hit the store that seems to always get these things the same day they're released... no actual canning date on the can...
Pour looked translucent brown, but appears black in the glass under a finger of creamy tan head... Has a light chocolate marshmallowy kinda aroma, suggesting some cocoa and roasted char with a hint of what I presume to be coconut... Tastes fairly similarly, with some roasted chocolate providing a bittersweet component, and a hint of chewy sweet coconut... Body is light and smooth and very drinkable... A decent but not strong rendition of a chocolate and coconut porter - enjoyable even though not really my style, so I might be kinda generous in my scores... As part of the series, and as a fresh local brew, a good offering; but folks across the country need not lose any sleep over it...
