Phew! I have been a busy little beaver today, out running errands & attending the Lititz Cask Festival, but I need both a hophead & a CANQuest (tm) fix before embarking on NBS.
From the CAN: "This round of our double IPA was brewed and DDH with Idaho 7, Citra and Simcoe hops. That's all I want to say to you."; "Get Bitten (tm)".
What a joyous Crack! It was not only nice & loud, but I also got a spritz across my fingertips by virtue of it being a brimful craft CAN! I CANtinued with a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. This resulted in the formation of two-plus fingers of dense, foamy, rocky, bone-white head with very good retention, leaving loads of lacing in its wake as it fell. Color was Yellow-Gold (SRM = 4 - 5) with NE-quality clarity, enticing a visit from The Gelt Gang of Midas, Croesus & Mammon, all ClANmoring for a taste. Nose was VERY citrusy, mostly grapefruit, with that naughty kitty, Simcoe, doing her catty business in the corner! 8=O Mouthfeel was thick & full, as though a dollop had been scooped into my mouth & onto my tongue. The taste reminded me of a throwback/late-1990s AIPA with big pine & grapefruit flavors as well as wee Simcoe still doing her cattiness in the background. YUM! Oh, I have missed this sort of thing with the advent of Southern Hemisphere-hopped IPAs. I suddenly feel MUCH better about myself & my faith has been restored. Finish was dry, but not with too much of a bite. I am now going to watch "Kiss of the Spider Woman" while dedicating this review to my two favorite arachnologists - Aunt Kathy & Scott Larcher. YMMV.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
