Pours out to a hazy limpid orange-light amber, and despite a very heavy handed pour, achieves virtually no head. Bits of yeast rest on the scum of a head. Average retention and no lacing. Carbonation is very mild to non-existant. The aroma is very odd...but very Kraftbrau, which means problems...green caramelized kiwi, husky pale malt, vanilla rooibos...it's not bad, really, it's actually quite nice, but it's not like a lager as it's intended. The mouthfeel is watery and smooth, owing to it's nearly flat carbonation. Medium bodied. Taste starts with some pineapple and kiwi hops and yeast esters, followed by a pleasant sweet, wet grain huskiness like the smell of fresh crystal malt wort. The bitterness is very mild and lightly herbal. The finish is semi-dry and husky. If you don't consider pineapple and kiwi off-flavors for a lager, then there aren't any:)
I actually kinda like this one, though it's not what it should be. All their bottled products have the same flavor faults and it is obviously a problem with their bottling lineup. Despite this, it's decent and easy to drink as is. I would be interested in trying this on tap.

Virtually no fizz in this beer.
The aromas remind me (slightly) of an infected batch of St. Bernardus I had recently... sort of like those chewy, peanut-shaped marshmallows. No sign of fresh, crisp floral or fruit aromatics. On the palate it is glossy with well-judged bitter extracts and nutty, peanut-like, sticky malt notes. I think there may some bacterial issues yet to iron out in the bottling process.
NOTE: reports from trusted sources indicate this brewery makes a good barreled product. It must be stressed that faults in these bottled goods probably originate somewhere in the bottling process.

Pours deep maroon with gold highlights. Absolutely no head or lace develops.
Aromas of dark malts, chocolate, toffee and a slight roasted aroma are present.
Taste is chocolate, raosted malt, toffee or caramel, very minor bittering on the finish kicks up a little aftertaste.
Mouthfeel is smooth but beer is probably a little under-carbonated (a common thing in my experience with bottles from this brewery).
All in all decent beer but nothing really special.
