Typical stout pour: dark black, dark brown head which reduces to a light dusting fairly quickly. Chocolate with slight roast notes on the nose.
The taste of this reminds me of Mackeson, sweet and chocolate dominated with a bit of roast in the background, not nearly as burnt and aggressive as bigger stouts, here the chocolate is definitely dominant.
Fairly smooth drinking, decent mouth.
Overall, a decent middle of the road chocolate stout, no complaints.

The Chocolate Stout pours black with no head only a ring of white around the edge of the glass. First wiff is yummy bittersweet chocolate, like a nice dark chocolate along with a little roastiness. Initial taste is more dark chocolate and I am quite impressed with the flavor. As the beer warms however, the dark chocolate flavor begins to change to more of a chocolatey milk flavor as it sweetens up. For as sweet as the flavor becomes the crisp mouthfeel helped to balance it out. This beer is something I personally could only drink one of but was an interesting experience as the chocolate flavors, although they progressively changed, were quite powerful throughout.
