This was the first Kraftbrau bottle I had where the carbonation wasn't off (too much or too little as in all the others). This was simply an easy beer to drink. Subtle in flavor and light on the tongue, this could definitely be a session beer. Low in hops as it should be but they are present and come in more in the finish. Caramel malt is dominate but there a wheat bread flavor in there too. Well done.

Cloudy medium caramel, forming a modest light beige head with very good retention and good sheets of lacing. Carbonation is moderate-strong. Not a gusher like the others. Aroma of mild green kiwi, dry and husky pale malts, clean ferment. Mouthfeel is lightly spritzy with a medium body. Taste starts with some semi-spicy flavor hops, quickly followed by green kiwi, lightly toasted malts, a bit of husk, and more toast lingering through the semi-dry finish. Bitterness is mild to moderate and and tends towards fruitiness. Definitly also has some strong clove tendencies, giving it a touch of Unibroue-ness.
A difficult beer to describe as it doesn't have any overwhelming characteristics other than the kiwi and cloves, which have no place in a Vienna Lager. The toast is nice, and overall, the beer isn't too shabby, but for the style, it's a disappointment. Mouthfeel is too bubbly. Consistency in the bottle is a huge issue for these guys.

Bare, minimal fizz. More peanut marshmallow candy on the nose (as with the Dutch Lager). A slight pine/mint note lurks on the perimeter. Somewhat bizarre palate with raw, minty hops and greasy, burning machine metal that combine in an unpleasant way. This is not to say there isn't also a noble effort to display a rich, malty flavor base - it's just that something detrimental is obscuring the qualities here. A disappointment.
NOTE: reports from trusted sources indicate this brewery makes a good barreled product. It must be stressed that faults in these bottled goods probably originate somewhere in the bottling process.

12 oz bottle
Pours a nice pale red with a small white head. Lacing is nonexistent.
Smell is odd, There is not much of anything in the smell aside from bitterness. There is a little bit of malt character to the smell (maybe a bit of caramel)
Taste is, for lack of a better term, bad. I think that this is a bad bottle. I would assume, and seeing as I have never had another vienna lager it is indeed an assumption, that this should not be sour. While carbonation and other flavors (maybe a little bit of citrus, some malt characteristics) this is still a sour beer. At first I thought it might be the style, but after more research, I would really have to believe that the bottle was just bad.
I would try this again, if for no other reason than to make sure.
Thanks to TRBeer and BIF 9 for this sample

Fairly average to good across the board. A light malt taste is present, which adds to the beer's taste, but in no way, makes it a flavor powerhouse. Amberish in color, with some light caramel present. A good offering for new-to-micro drinker, but it could use a titch more flavor.
