Unfiltered draft sampler at Kraftbrau. One of only 3 ales out of 12 taps here. This is actually a very dark dorwn, even in a sampler glass. Thin head on top. The malts seem more mellowed than roasted, it seems. Hops and yeast give it a nice fruity profile, not citrusy or overbittered; maybe like a pear or a "Juicy Fruit."

As sampled at the Great Taste of the MidWest. Amber to red in color with a nice head and some lacing. Floral hops and sweet malt in the nose. Nice balanced flavor, hops, and sweet & toasted malt. Starts bitter and finishes smooth. This is an excellent red, the best one at the Great Taste.

Upin releasing the cap, a burst of gunsmoke blows it off. Foam climbs in the neck, and I'm able to get it to a glass. 100% foam into the glass, and overflowing, losing some of it down the drain. It takes me about. I was able to closely appreciate the aroma of the beer, as I had to dunk my nose in the foam to bring it down to size. Cloudy dark amber forming a huge soapy and rocky dark beige head with superior retention and rocky lacing. Obviously the carbonation is intense. Aroma of fresh hops...smells like Centennial...I've grown to love this hop and it's instantly recognizable. Other notes of peach, hints of toast and husk. Mouthfeel is very spritzy, foamy, and airy. Medium bodied. Taste echoes the aroma...Fragrant and flavorful Centennial, a citric bitterness of medium-strong intensity, some faint caramel and toast. Dry finish with floral hoppiness and mild metallic grapefruit rind. No appreciable off-flavors.

I agree with Tim, this reminds me of Celebration in many ways. I think this brew is good, but I can't recommend it until they get their bottling issues under control.

Pours dark amber with a minor dark white head that kicks off some uneven, spotty lace.
Aroma of grapefruity hops, dark caramel and some dark citrus fruits.
Flavor of caramel, burnt sugar and a heavy, resiny grapefruit hop profile. Big time cascade hop hit.
Mouthfeel is sweet to start that moves to a gritty, resiny bittering.
Drinkability is fairly good. Hops and bitterness make it one dimensional but not bad. Sort of an IPA hiding in an amber malt beer.
