The appearance was a dark ruby red almost brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that fell off at a decent pace. Some stringy lace. The aroma had some roasted nuts (chestnut to pecan-like), light caramel/toffee malt base with a little bit of grassy to earthiness. The flavor leaned into the malts fairly nice to lead into a semi-nice smooth detailed sweetness in the aftertaste with a little bit of roast. Some roast in the finish. The feel was roughly medium bodied with a decent sessionability about it. Sly carbonation. ABV felt appropriate. Overall, good brown ale worthy of having again.
