Clear, dark amber/light brown color. Modest head which recedes completely and leaves no lace.
Dark cherry nose with a light sweetness. I can detect the alcohol which gives the aroma a bit of a medicinal smell.
Nearly flat carbonation-wise with neutral (for a Quad) body. Plenty of alcohol warmth throughout the tasting. The taste seems closer to a strong barley wine as I don’t pickup on any Belgian yeast. It’s a bit woody with a touch of brown sugar. The finish is similar to a whiskey to me with a strong alcohol finish and aftertaste (and little else).
