Cloudy, dirty amber color. Decent head with excellent thick 3D blanketing lace…initially. Spots thereafter.
The smell is like fresh pizza dough. In the background I pickup a smell that reminds me of play dough. It’s appealing if unusual.
The flavor has a solid lightly toasted malt base. The hop is strong and straight up bitter but never overwhelming. The only distraction is a bit of cardboard. The body is average with a lower carbonation level. The play dough shows up near the finish. The aftertaste is straight up black pepper bitterness.
Overall, this is intriguing and potentially a new offbeat (yet conventional) style.
