A - An active cascading pour yields three finger's worth of lush creamy light tan colored head that is comprised of medium sized airy bubbles... Excellent retention... The color is equal part gold and amber... The carbonation is moderate both in amount and pace... A bit of lacing clings to the glass...
S - Subtle citrus to start in the form of orange zest and some very mellow tangerines... A strong malt base is present and highlighted by loads of cracker and biscuit notes... Some light caramel as well... Very pleasant, but a bit muted overall...
T - Some light pale malts to start... Perhaps a hint of orange zest... White bread crust... The cascade hops really shine... They come on slightly assertive, but never overpowering and remain present throughout... Excellent balance and impressive complexity...
M - Delicate... Light to medium bodied... Very muted carbonation... A bit on the thin side... Still very refreshing... A touch of crispness... The finish is dry and surprisingly bitter (much more so than expected)...
D - An excellent beer and very welcome introduction to Millbock... A very unpretentious American Pale Ale that is both light and complex with a surprising hop bite... I look forward to trying the rest of Millbock's offerings (many of which I already have in the cellar)... Cheers and welcome to the neighborhood Millbock...

On tap at the Warwick in Hummelstown.
A: A golden yellow hue, amber shimmering nicely. Translucent although there is a slight haziness settling within the ale. A white head, craggy like sea foam after a storm, billows and dissapates. As I worked through the glass, the remnants left thick strata of lace.
S: A clean nose, pleasantly hoppy with a firm malt backbone. Citrusy grapefruts from the hops; lightly baked biscuits from the malts. Bolder than I was expecting (I've hesitated to order this on a number of occasions).
T: Bowled over, I am. Assertive, aggressive even, with more than enough balance. First, the malts - light and bready, floury. They build gradually and become part of the big finish. Mid-sip, the hops kick in with grapefruit zest. That hoppiness isn't numbing, rather is supports the light sweetness of the malts. The hops remain, leaving a vegetal bitterness that, when paired with the malts in the finish, leave a big taste behind. A solid pale ale.
M: Well carbonated with plenty of flavor, this pale ale nails the style. I easily could have had another pint.

A - Served with a semi-cloudy body that has a glowing golden hue to it...the creamy head is white in color and stand one finger tall...it shows nice retention and leaves decent lacing
S - There is an initial fruitiness to the nose...it eventually gives way to some underlying citrus notes from the hops...there is a strong and supporting bready aroma
T - First sip brings out the citrus hop flavors...they are juicy and bright, but alas they are gone too quickly...being a pale ale, the malts come in and balance things out...they give off a slightly toasted aspect and they are again bready in flavor...again, I'm picking up a fruitiness that I can't characterize...there's a soft bitterness that tries to creep up in the finish
M - Medium bodied...refreshing, soft, malt balanced
O - This is one easy-to-drink Pale Ale...I think these guys have done a nice job keeping with the style...solid flavors with a generous ABV to match
