Had this one at the 4th annual Lititz cask beer festival.

A - Pours pale golden yellow with a small white head that doesn't stick around for very long.

S - Smells of pungent citric hops, biscuity malt, and some very faint sweetness. I would have given this one a small boost but the hops were almost too much, threatening to throw the whole beer out of balance.

T - Starts off with lots of citric hops slowly giving way to a mix of biscuity malt and pine needles. The finish is a mix of light bitterness and chewiness, lingering on the pallet for some time.

M - Medium-Light body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Slick, sticky feel that clings to the pallet.

O - I rather enjoyed this one. It was light yet had lots of flavor and was easy to consume. One of the better beers at the festival that I tried.

An English take on the American IPA; served from a firkin.

A: Pale, golden in color and completely translucent. The head isn't worth dwelling on.

S: Unlike a dry-hopped blast, this IPA drips with too many hops added throughout the process. Citrus is strong and syrupy but manages to co-exist with the biscuity malts.

T: Very hoppy with the juicy citrus well integrated into the ale. By integrated, it is evident that they aren't a dry-hop addition. Rather, their bitterness runs throughout the ale with a syrupy consistency. And yet the ale rings of English sensibility, never losing the malty biscuit flavors that stand out up front. I like that it never loses its sense of balance.

M: Yes, great beer brewed by a chick is appropriate (its Offbeat's slogan, dammit).
