Bizarre. Has a difficult to describe heavy spice flavor throughout. Almost like a cedar wood. Really, the more I think about it, it tastes a bit like a Bloody Mary in beer form. Tastes a bit like the smell of some colognes I've smelled. I wouldn't say I hate this beer but I would say it's super strange and unique.

Sandy foam over pale chestnut. 3.75
Cherry stone and artificial cinnamon nose. 3.75
Toffee, berry jam, touch of cocoa and mulchy leaf hop end. 3.5
Herbal end and cough drop linger.
Medium, round, chewy. 3.75
Sour and sticky, like a certain kind of British ale. Not catching the titular spice. Cherry cola - which I don’t like - thing going on, and cloying at that, so just not my buzz. 3.75

On tap in Belem.
Body has a fine red-amber color with an excellent head.
The smell is mild and malty: rather typical for style.
Not quite a "malt bomb" this is still nicely malty with sufficient bittering hops to provide good balance.
Feel: medium-full body; very smooth with well-set, medium carbonation.
O: one of the best beers of the area.

355ml bottle. Decanted into a big Paulaner mug.
Appearance: Thick mud. Dark brown with a head that sticks around.
Smell: Sweet caramel and peppery hops.
Taste: Has a strange “Top Roman” noodle flavor. Kind of salty. I wonder if that’s from the water. After a few drinks it doesn’t go away. Top Roman and basil. Very strange. Not good.
Mouthfeel: Thin and bubbly.
Overall: It’s kind of like a mediocre first batch of homebrew. It seems like there may be something hidden in there, but overall it misses the mark badly. It has a cloying sweetness and ends up being disappointing. Not the “red ale” it wants to be.

Pours a deep read with creamy head and a little lacing. The first smell is almost like black peppercorns; perhaps this is the Priprioca for which the beer is named. The beer is slightly malty, the herb is nonoffensive, and one can still taste the red ale in the background. Upon smelling it I was not sure that I would like it for a full bottle, but it tastes good through the whole bottle.

Copper red color. It made lots of head with good retention and leaving laces.
In its aroma you feel the perfume of priprioca, and hints of slightly toasted malts and vanilla.
Likewise, priprioca is also predominant in its flavor, with a nice bitterness from floral hops and maybe from this herb which I never tasted. Notes of minerals and caramel. Aftertaste is mildly dry and short.
Light body with good carbonation.
As the others new experiences from Amazon Beer, the background beer in which this case it is a red ale, it is well-crafted and fit the style.
