500ml brown bottle, best before end of Sept 2012, poured into my Abbot Ale glass tankard in March 2012.
Looks like a proper ale: true copper/amber hue to it, clear and clean. An off-white blanket of rocky foam sat on top, pretty as a picture.
The smell and taste are of a well blended malty beer that has a fine hop balance which adds just enough bitterness to take away any hints of over sweetness. Pale, Crystal and Chocolate malts along with torrified wheat are used in the kettle, the hops being both Amarillo and Goldings.
Very 'moreish' in its flavours, had trouble putting the beer down to write this (a live review). I love trying beers from all over the world, but ales like this remind me what fantastic brews we have in the UK as well.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
