Not a traditional Pilsner, but pleasant and delicious nonetheless. It's got lightly hazy (unfiltered) straw gold color that looks close to the style of German Pils but a much richer aroma and taste. With a 6% ABV and New Zealand hops, this beer has its own character. I liked it.

Enjoyed on tap. This pours a clear golden color. Low aroma. Low malt low hops low bitterness… there’s a theme here. Decent, if unexciting, but certainly enjoyable.

Nice aroma, with fresh, grassy and light malt characters, but something is different here - a pleasant, floral tropical note. Hmm, yes taste confirms this has got a strong, hefty Pilsner backbone but also a fresh, west coast style hop profile that lends an elegant, fresh, fruity and slightly bitter contribution. My guess is that a well made German Pils with Noble hops was possibly dry-hopped with a generous dose of US hops. You know what, it works great.

There’s nothing gimmicky here: this is a kick-ass German Pils with a slightly higher ABV that’s then co-opted by American taste buds, thus featuring considerable hoppy complexity, but it’s all done with a deft touch. Make no mistake, this is a craft take on the style, but one which is done with care, respect and no shortage of know-how, resulting in a worthwhile effort that comes highly recommended from this taster.

 

 

Clear golden brew with plenty of white foam in the Troubadour tulip. Quite aromatic with straw, resins, and a touch of honeysuckle. Just slightly sweet with a pleasing malty taste. Flavors are a little green with green pepper, passion fruit, wheat cereal, and a hint of juniper. Light and bright on the tongue.

This is a very clean and highly drinkable light brew. Plenty of hops aromatics but a modest bitter aftertaste. Just a little tanginess to enliven the taste buds. "Less is more," in this case. Actually one of the best Pilsner-type brews I've had in a long time. From the 16 oz can shipped by City Beer Store. "Canned 10/15/20" on the bottom.

Tastes like an AAL with some brown sugar to beef it up a little.

 

 

 

 

 

The beer pours out a clear light golden straw color, with a touch of haze and 1 finger of white head----------- the aromas are of bread dough, floral/grass and citrus---------- the flavors are of grapefruit, grass and bread dough, the beer has a light to medium mouthfeel with a clean crisp finish------------- overall this beer was nice, it's not your typical pilsner, it's 6%abv gives it a bigger body than most and than they hop the shit out of it to keep it balanced, it's sweet, doughy and hoppy-
