Strangely enough, this is listed at another source (are we still not allowed to mention by name other online entities in the beer world LOL at insecurities) as a NE ipa at 5.6%, but nonetheless, at the Bistro's 22nd annual ipa festival, the listing says 6% and it is not listed on the Hazy list.
Anyhoo, commercial/festival tug jobs aside, lets get into the substantive review. It is slightly obscure/hazy yellow/gold with a thin 1/4" white head. Puts out a pine and tree like aroma that makes one think you got some Centennial and/or Chinook in this beer. They indicate that Admiral malt is used here, although it could just as easily be golden promise.
Interesting beer, they went with C hop (or worse, a proprietary hop mimicking a C hop) but really changed up the standard malt bill and haziness, a blend of the old and the new school as they say. It does evoke sensory images of the area around Winters/Lake Berryessa, so I think it works.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
