This beer isn't really what I expected and I'm sorry I can't say it like it. It pours quite flat with low overall carbonation, and is very sweet. It does say on the bottle it is supposed to have a malty sweetness, but there is too much for my liking. I get the hints of raisins and plums, but there is a port type flavour to it that doesn't work for me.
I haven't had any other beers in this style so maybe this style just isn't for me?
