500ml bottle from Beermasons, into a Kent Old Brown handle.
Damn, 90% foam, 10% liquid pour. Finally it settled a bit into a light golden colour, with a nice glow to it.
Smell is typical german wheat, clove and banana with faint plastic as it warms up.
Tastes a little dull. Only towards the finish does the banana, clove and yeast stand out.
A bit thin early, going with the flavour vacuum. Otherwise, decent body and doesn't finish off too heavy with the yeastiness.
Pretty plain, definitely not better than half the wheat beers i've had. Delivers the banana and clove but little else to excite, nor does it perfect what it already has.

Bottle from Beermasons, poured into Weihenstephaner weizen glass. Pours a cloudy orange like weissbier should, outrageously carbonated, massive head but kind of sponge-like with big holes in it rather than pillowy and soft like some other fine examples of the style.
Smells of sour wheat and banana with some spice, maybe a little more sour tang that you get with most hefes. A passing note of damp pub carpet.
On first sip you get big yeasty notes of banana and clove but then there's a strange acridity to it - sour and smoky, a bit like burning plastic. This flavor quickly spreads throughout the mouth and becomes dominant. Fairly unpleasant. Decent body with prickly carbonation. Something is off.

This pours a bright orange colour with a so-so white head that quickly disappears. Cloudy.
Banana and cloves on the nose. A bit of sharp citrus. Maybe white pepper.
Banana dominates the palate. White pepper a bit more to the front. Cloves are there. Some sweetness at the end.
High carbonation. Maybe too fizzy?
An ok weizen. Would like to try it on tap to see if it looks a bit better.
