Despite an unorthodox name, this is a stout brewed with coconut and almonds. Liquid Almond Joy anyone? Served on-tap at the brewery itself in a 10 ounce glass during brunch, on to the beer:
The head on top dissipates from this obsidian colored beer, leaving a few dots of lace around the glass. The aroma screams sweet cocoonut, and its flavor goes a little deeper. Yes, the coconut still dominates the taste, but with some roasted notes mixed in, the beer takes on a sweet stout character. It's full bodied, which would make this beer better to end things than to wake your taste buds up.
