On tap year-round at Congregation Ale House in Azusa, CA. Collab with New Belgium.
A: Pours a deep Amber with minimal head and thin, persistent lacing.
S: I get tons of caramel, roasted barley, cinnamon, brown sugar, pineapple and spicy hops.
T: Taste is hop-forward, tons of juicy hops ,with burnt sugar, citrus, and apple. There is a light malt sweetness on the tip of the tongue. Alcohol presence is well-hidden.
M: Thick, sticky and effervescent with moderate carbonation.
O: Overall, a great example of an American IPA. Well-executed and very drinkable.
