Brandy Oaked version on tap at Azusa location. Seemed to be on nitro rather than CO2. Creamy, rich, slightly boozy. A chocolate milk note that reminds me of a White Russian. Delicious.

On tap at Congregation Ale House in Pasadena, CA.
Pours a clear dark crimson-orange with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Thick swaths of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of toasted malt, caramel, wood, and slight fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with caramel apple, raisin, and wood flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a low level of carbonation with an almost flat mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid flavors, but the smells are fairly subtle to me.
Serving type: on tap.
