Not sure if it is the memories of University or the fact that my tastes have evolved over the years, but this beer wasnt what i remembered. It could have everything to do with the fact that i got it from a bottle at a store in Montreal (and even in university I wasnt a fan of their beers bottled. Draft was always much better)
Cloudy yellow color with a chaulky taste. I would still go straight to the Lion for pint of this if i was ever to visit again

Had this on tap at the brewpub. Was labeled as "Pale Ale", but told this is the same thing. Pours a straw yellow colour with nice white head and some mild lacing. Smells of quite mild citrus hops with some bready malt. Flavour is quite muted. Nice carbonation level makes this smooth to drink. This is essentially brewed to come as close to pale lagers as could be and it does hit the mark for that. I'd take this over most macro lagers though.

500 mL brown bottle, best before two months from now.

Pours a hazy straw yellow with a head that disappears almost instantly.

Aroma is grainy and tart with a bit of citrus.

This tastes like a wheat beer to me - some crisp sourness with hints of lemon. A little bit of sweet malt comes through but not much in the way of hops here. Alcohol is undetectable. Mouthfeel is thin with a high level of carbonation.

Refreshing with a nice tang to it, but nothing all too exciting.

Presentation: Their unusual 500ml bottle format. 5.0%ABV

Appearance: Label says: "Pale ale / Bière blonde". It got a massive yellow colour with some cloudiness. Lots of carbonation (bubbles), but almost no head.

Smell: Very hoppy. It makes no doubt that it smells beer. :)

Taste: Hops bitterness with a strong fruity sweetness and some salty aftertaste.

Mouthfeel: Sparky in reason of the high carbonation, but no more else to say about this ale.

Drinkability: Not bad. Not my favorite brew, but it is still a good refreshing one.

Pourred a golden brew with a nice foamy head. The head seems to disapear a tad too quickly for my liking. Some citrus flavor with cereal. Very refreshing taste overall. Not the best of brew but not that bad either. I would drink this again on a hot summer day. I'm now curious enough to investigate the other beer produce by Lion d'Or.
