Goin' Gaúcho in São Paulo? Only 'cuz I've passed a few chances in Porto Alegre and now have a chance to try it. From a 600 ml bottle shared at Cerveja Gourmet, on to the beer:
It's ink black, but there's no head forming on top. For what it's worth, it does kick a few legs around. The nose features some coffee (as the name suggrests) and vague spice. Let's see where this goes...
Bummer, we're flat. There are pleasant coffee notes being tasted and an extra kick of roast, but damn, it's flat and close to water in texture. Boo hoo.
If you don't mind a flat bottle, then Coffee Notes will probably be good to you. If you're like me, you can only imagine what a properly carbonated bottle is about, and Guillerme assurmed me that one with carbonation is delectable. I sure hope Ginger Orange is properly conditoned when the time comes.
