Nice reddish-brown color, no head whatsoever and little sign of carbonation. Smell is actually a little whisky-ish, but that dissipates as the beer warms. Flavor is tart but with good oaky, wine-y balance. A good brew.

March 2016 release of Astrolabe bomber. Poured at 50 degrees F into tulip glass.
Appearance: Not much carbonation--thin almost nonexistent head. Tiny white, spread-out lacing. Beautiful tawny color with some cloudiness.
Smell: Cherry and oak. Some sweetness.
Taste: Plum and raisins. Light acidic and sour on the middle of the tongue. Warm (and heavy) toffee finish.
Feel: Very smooth. Nice dry finish.
Overall: Not as sour as I expected--very nice balance. I was thinking maybe more carbonation needed, but I'm not going to complain--very drinkable as it is. This is a very good beer.
