Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a super deep brown, nearly black color with a one finger head of tan colored foam. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a great sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strong of a nice roasted malt aroma mixed with some light coffee and caramel aromas. Along with these smells comes a moderate showing of a molasses and creme smell as well as a little bit of a cocoa smell. Overall the aroma is moderately sweet and roasty.
Taste – The taste begins with a nice roast and toasty malt flavor mixed with some big flavors of a molasses and a bit of a sweet crème taste. As the taste advances the roastiness gets a little bit weaker all while the sweeter tastes get a little bit stronger. At the end a touch of an earth comes to the tongue to leave one with a moderately roasty and sweeter, but still rather easy drinking taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is slightly thicker and more creamy with a carbonation that was fairly light. For the sweeter and roasty taste to the brew the feel is good and makes for a nice media to support the robust flavors, even while the brew is at a more moderate (for a stout) abv. of 5.8 %.
Overall – A decent sweet stout overall. Nothing super out of the ordinary, but pleasant non the less.

Inky black with a light cream-colored head. Aroma is of dark chocolate and roasted malt, and the taste follows on the chocolate and roasted malt, with a hint of cherry adding a sour twist. Finish is very dry. Mouthfeel is on the thin side for a milk stout. I didn't hate it but neither do I feel I will be returning to this offering.

Got a glass from the brewery, 21/12/17
Did not really taste like a sweet stout or the lactose usually associated with the milk stout; just a normal stout, with smoked malt.
