Introducing DTX Golden Ale, the successor to Deep Ellum Lager and our ode to Dallas. There are few things better than a hometown beer – the happy hour go-to, the one that makes you irrationally proud, the one that you probably considered getting inked, and all of your out-of-town friends ask for it. Oh, and it's definitely light, refreshing, crisp, and full of flavor.

Pours slightly hazy, no head nor lacing, out of a 12oz can.
Smell: Lemon and cake-bread. Surprisingly fruity but not overpowering in the least. Very appealing aroma.
Taste: A tiny bit of malt, before fading into orange creamsicle with a bit of breadiness to balance. Too mild, though. Ultimately it tastes watered down...
Feel: ... but doesn't feel watered down. Much heavier than I'd expect for such a mild taste and a 4.8%, but with an appealing carbonation.
Overall: Nothing to write home about but I must admit it's growing on me as I sip more. Maybe I'll re-review!

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a clear golden color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades very fast leaving a tiny bit of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is light overall, consisting mostly of a bready and a bit of yeast. Along with these smells comes a little bit of a wheat smell as well as a touch of caramel.
Taste – The taste begins with a crisper slightly grainy taste that is mixed with some flavors of a light caramel malt and a bit of a yeast. As the taste moves forward a very light fruit flavor of orange and peach come to the tongue, along with a touch of grass. These tastes take the taste to the end and leave one with a light and crisp, slightly bready taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is quite light and thin with a carbonation level that is higher. For the low abv., the more crisp nature, and the more mild taste of the feel is great and makes for one very easy sipper.
Overall – A decent blond overall. Lighter in nature with a more crisp nature and a decent and easy drinking taste. A good summer style brew.
